The Tiber originates in the Fumaiolo Mountain and from there it comes down entering Tuscany and Umbria. In its path toward Rome, the famous river crosses a region which includes the borders of Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria.
This area is called “Alta Valle del Tevere”. Along the Tiber path, there are towns like Sansepolcro, Monterchi, Citerna, Città di Castello, Montone, Umbertide and others. Each one of them is rich of history, from the first etruscan settlements to Medieval times, to today.
The Holiday Farm Il Cucciolo is in the center of this geographic area and it is a good base from where to visit the typical architectures alongside the natural environment of the Tiber at its origin
